What is Kendo? 剣道とは？
Kendo is the art of Japanese fencing. Ken or tsurugi is from the character meaning “sword.” The character for do or michi includes the meanings “way” or “path,” which translates as "The way of the sword," a path in life which is followed through training in kendo.

He has been a member of AUSKF and SEUSKF since 1990 and has served on the SEUSKF Board of Directors since 2011. During his tenure, he has contributed to the Competition Committee, Education Committee, and Promotion Committee, including serving as Vice President of Promotion from 2021 to 2024.
He currently serves on both the SEUSKF and AUSKF Boards of Directors and is the AUSKF Vice President of Promotion. He will continue serving as an AUSKF Board Member and on the Promotion Committee for the 2025–2027 term.
As a competitor, he captained the SEUSKF Men’s Team and competed at the AUSKF National Championships in 2011, 2014, and 2017. In 2026, he competed as a member of the SEUSKF Senior Men’s Team. He also served as the SEUSKF Men’s Team Coach from 2017 through 2026.
Professionally, he works as an Associate Broker with Keller Williams Realty.
